Day 3 Recap

We’re getting to the end! It’s been a great week. Make sure you get any homework completed and turned in by the end of Day #4!

Last Night: OA Introduction

Our Order of the Arrow Lodge Chief, Jonathan Kipper, shared a brief video talking about the OA Tapout Ceremony.

The Lodge will be filming the full ceremony soon, and will release the full ceremony in July for all scouts in the Council. Congratulations to all scouts that were elected by their troops.

Last Night: Duct Tape Merit Badge

Duct tape is amazing. You can use it to make wallets, clothing, rope, or even a boat. Our scouts came up with a huuuuge list of uses for duct tape.

If you want to start small, it’s easy to make a duct tape wallet. My (Eagle Scout) son made one for me last night in about 10 minutes.

Closing Campfire

We’re still looking for songs and skits for our closing campfire. With your parent’s permission, please upload your video for the campfire here.

Daily Photo Challenge

We had TWO Photo Challenge winners yesterday!

Congratulations to Gavin K. from Troop 170! He wins Wednesday’s Daily Photo contest with this picture of his camp gadget:

And the adult award goes to Mr. Saucerman! He was disappointed we couldn’t do a Mile Swim in Lake Tarzian this summer, so he made a “virtual” swimming gadget.

Every day you have a chance to win cool prizes! With your parent’s permission, send one photo each day to dailyphoto@maumee.bitfox.us.

Thursday: Send a picture of a) Wildlife from your yard or park, or sign/evidence of an animal (your pet doesn’t count), OR b) your awesome duct tape creation!
